On the way to school: a film event on education to be seen on your screens on 25 September 2013
21 May 2014

What if just going to school is still an adventure in some countries? This is what On the Way to School shows. A documentary film that you can see on the big screen on 25 September.

Directed by Pascal Plisson, who already directed Massai, les héros de la pluie in 2005, Sur le Chemin de l'école follows the destinies of four children, ready to take up any challenge to go to school and thus change their lives. One of these heroes is Zahira, a young Moroccan girl, who is now living and studying in one of the schools supported by Aide et Action in the Imlil valley in Morocco. Every week, she takes a long, winding and dangerous journey to leave the Atlas Mountains where her parents live and to reach the school. A real epic that shows the difficulties of access to education even today. "Of course, this film informs and points out problems, but it is above all a show, an adventure film that shows the courage and faith of children in the future and in their society," insists Barthelemy Fougea, producer of the film On the Way to School.
