Partnership: the philanthropic caterer "l'Effet Papillon" commits to Aide et Action
18 August 2022

Aide et Action is pleased to announce its partnership with L'Effet Papillon, a philanthropic restaurant-caterer based in Geneva, whose objective is to put its profits to the benefit of nutrition aid and access to drinking water projects in Switzerland and abroad.

The philanthropic catering restaurant supports humanitarian, solidarity and social projects in Switzerland and abroad. Its objective: a meal consumed at The Butterfly Effect funds another meal for someone in need. Every year, the restaurant selects three projects to be supported. For the second time, Aide et Action was pleased to see one of its projects selected.

A commitment to solidarity in favour of education

This year, it is our nutrition project in Laos which was selected. It aims at providing better nutrition to 5121 children in several schools in order to improve their academic performance. To this end, Aide et Action is strengthening school management by involving all relevant local stakeholders, fostering an inclusive and child-centered learning environment and promoting school meal preparation and nutrition programs.

More specifically, the following activities are implemented to achieve this objective Installing hygienic school kitchens in targeted schools, planting vegetable gardens in targeted schools, improving access to safe drinking water and sanitation in targeted schools, encouraging mothers of students to contribute to healthy nutrition by participating in the preparation of school meals, and training teachers as well as parents on issues related to children's health, hygiene, safety, food selection, cultivation and meal preparation and launching a campaign on these topics in schools.

A big thank you to the whole team of l'Effet Papillon for its commitment and its renewed support.
