10-year guidelines

Aid and Action 2030: an ambition

We have built our strategic plan at a pivotal moment (both in terms of global change and within our organisation). The educational needs for a sustainable world are changing and we need to adapt. While there has been unprecedented progress in global access to education over the past two decades, inequalities in access and quality between and within countries remain stark. In 2020, 258 million children, adolescents and young people in the world are still not in school.

As part of our 10-year strategic direction, we are refocusing our work on the most vulnerable and marginalised populations, so that they can take control of their own development and contribute to a more peaceful and sustainable world. Within these vulnerable and marginalised populations, we pay particular attention to children, girls and women.
