Each of our interventions is based on the support of local actors and local teams. We do not provide ready-made solutions: we help local populations to find the most appropriate ones themselves.
Action Education is aware of the complex and systemic nature of educational issues and the importance of multi-actor and multi-sectoral action.
Therefore, we act by bringing together all relevant actors in our projects and build their capacity to work together.
Our association develops its projects according to a participatory and community approach. They therefore take into account the worldview, values, ideals, organisation, intersecting interests, wishes, strategies and resources of the communities we work with.

Because the impact of our projects is particularly measurable
A Light For Africa (ALFA), for example, is a vast project to electrify more than 120 schools in West Africa, launched in 2017 and supported by multiple partners and public institutions such as the Club Méditerranée and Gertrude Hirzel foundations, or the commune of Onex in Switzerland.
This project is taking place in Burkina Faso, Senegal and Togo and has several objectives:
- improve teaching and learning conditions for students
- strengthening educational facilities in primary schools
- develop the multifunctionality of education and training facilities
As a result of their support, our partners have been able to accurately identify the impact generated by their funding, for example
In Burkina Faso, the electrification of the Pendao school with the company Prime Energy, where 8 teachers work and 354 students study, including 226 girls.
In Senegal, with the Club Med Foundation: the electrification of 6 primary schools where 800 pupils study and 50 teachers work.
In Burkina Faso, the electrification of the Lué school with the company Asigma, which has improved the daily life of 257 pupils, including 124 girls, as well as the 6 teachers.
All these schools were also provided with computer equipment and teachers were trained in its use.

For more than 40 years, Action Education has worked with a wide range of partners: private companies, public bodies, institutions, foundations, etc. Our association is present in 20 countries around the world, in Africa, Asia and Europe.
We implement tailor-made partnerships, combining our projects with the geographical and thematic interests of our partners.
We offer various forms of partnership such as financial or skills sponsorship. It is also possible to set up a partnership scheme with your volunteer employees (rounding up of salaries, collection of funds, etc.)
