Empowering children and young people as agents of change
The main indicators in terms of access and quality of education for all, governance of the sector and human capital show encouraging and progressive developments in Senegal, despite the strong marginalisation of the most vulnerable populations. Action Education has therefore made access and quality of education, particularly for girls, one of its priorities. At the same time, the association is working to enable citizens to exercise their rights, first and foremost access to civil status, which is often the prerequisite for the exercise of other rights: access to nationality, basic social services (starting with education), the right to vote, training and a decent job, etc.
To support this project :
The aim of the project
The project aims to improve access for all children, young people and marginalised groups to the full exercise of their rights as citizens: civil status, access to school and basic services, and to strengthen their power to act in terms of citizenship, social cohesion and sustainable development. The project also aims to build on experience and good practice to improve the involvement of public authorities and other players in promoting access to children's rights, citizenship and sustainable development.
