Our governance

The governance of Action Education
International Governance
Action Education's international governance is structured around the Congress and the International Council. The Congress, which brings together the presidents of the regional associations and thematic representatives, defines the strategic orientations every two years. These decisions are then entrusted to the International Council, an elected body made up of 11 directors who ensure that they are implemented through concrete actions. The Board is also responsible for day-to-day management, under the supervision of an Executive Committee comprising a Chairman, a Treasurer and a Secretary, to ensure the coherence and effectiveness of actions on a global scale.
French Governance
The Board of Directors of Action Éducation France is made up of volunteers elected for a three-year term, with progressive renewal each year. The Board, which is responsible for overseeing the association's activities and projects in France, is organised around a Chairman, a Treasurer, a Secretary and an Assistant Secretary, supported by a number of administrators. Together, they ensure good governance and the alignment of the organisation's actions with its objectives of promoting education for all.
Governance Switzerland
The Board of Directors of Action Éducation Suisse is made up of volunteers who, as in France, are elected for a three-year term and ensure collective governance. Their role is to oversee the organisation's activities in Switzerland, ensuring that local and international initiatives respect the association's educational objectives. Board members work closely with the other sections of Action Éducation to promote access to quality education for all.
