Access to quality education has been our battle for over 40 years, and today we invite you to join us in it. "Let's Talk Education" is an online meeting format offered by Action Education. At these events, you will have the opportunity to discuss education and a wide range of other topics with our speakers from the field.

"When can we talk about education? When?

Twice a year, for 1 hour, meet the employees of Action Education who work every day locally to ensure that everyone has access to quality education. They will tell you about the challenges involved in implementing our projects in the field and support for vulnerable and marginalised populations. You can talk directly to them and ask your questions live.

These online meetings are held on Zoom and are designed to our committed community and anyone who wants to find out more about the issues and challenges involved in access to education in France and around the world. It's thanks to you, our donors, sponsors, volunteers and supporters, that we can take action to ensure that the right to education is a reality for everyone. These moments of intercultural exchange will give you a concrete idea of the impact of your commitment.

An exclusive meeting with our teams in the field

Donors, volunteers and supporters, thanks to your support and interest, we are working day by day to reduce the threats that deprive the most vulnerable children of their right to education. That's why Action Education has created "Let's talk education", meetings with our local teams to find out about the impact of your support, the progress of projects and programmes, and what goes on behind the scenes of our work. "Let's Talk Education" is a series of events designed to give you a closer look at the association's actions and news.

Direct exchanges around a common cause: education

Each meeting focuses on a theme related to the Action Education's main battles. There will be time for discussion after the presentation by the teams in the field. Either orally or via the Zoom discussion tab, you can easily send in your comments and/or questions about the projects. It's also an opportunity for donors and volunteers, all committed to the common cause of education, to interact and discover each other's points of view as we work together to advance the right to education.

No geographical constraints

You don't have to go anywhere. You will receive an invitation by email to register for the next edition of "Parlons éducation! Once you have completed the registration form, you will be able to join the meeting online on the day. Use the link in the confirmation email to log in from your computer or tablet.

"Education for sustainable development in Benin

At a time when the challenges of climate change are becoming ever more pressing, it is essential to discuss the role of education in raising awareness and mobilising the younger generation. Our field team in Benin presents the sustainable development education initiatives carried out with children in schools and the support provided to youth associations to protect the environment.

"Socio-professional integration of single mothers in Madagascar

Being a young single mother in Madagascar involves a multitude of challenges and a daily struggle to ensure a better future for her children. In this webinar, Anouk Dancert-Verot and our local team in Madagascar present these young mothers, the role of LABIS in responding to them, the impact and the next steps of the project.

"Acting for girls' health: a challenge for inclusive, quality education".

Menstruation is still a taboo subject in Beninese schools and has a real impact on keeping girls in school. Justin Akpo, AGIR Project Manager, and Imelda Agbodjelou, Field Facilitator, presented the operations set up by Action Education to meet these challenges.

"Education, a vehicle for empowering girls and women".

Mamou Sanou, Head of the SCOLFILLE project in Burkina Faso, and Inès Provoost, former Programme Coordinator, described the association's efforts to help vulnerable girls and women in Burkina Faso and Laos to become self-sufficient through education.

"The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on education and Action Education's projects".

Meera Shankar, Sponsorship Coordinator based in India, Prasith Chin, Sponsorship Officer based in Cambodia, and Berei Tcha, Territory Coordinator based in Togo, addressed the three issues involved in responding to the consequences of the pandemic: emergency aid, prevention and awareness-raising, and educational continuity.

"Access to education in France: issues and obstacles for children living in precarious housing".

France has committed itself to guaranteeing education for all by ratifying the International Convention on the Rights of the Child and enshrining this right in its legislation for all children living on its soil, whether French or foreign. Yet many challenges remain, particularly for children living in precarious housing conditions. Our project leaders, alongside our partner C.L.A.S.S.E.S., shared their perspectives on these issues at this round table.
