Teaching Basic English to pre-school teachers in Sri Lanka

Objective

Impact

Partners

Increasing professional skills through training

Since 2019, the country has been facing a severe economic crisis largely due to the economic mismanagement of the current government. This has resulted in unprecedented levels of inflation, near depletion of foreign reserves, shortages of medical supplies and price increases for basic commodities in 2021. The COVID-19 pandemic, which required several strict lockdowns, caused huge losses in the tourism sector, one of the country's main sources of income.
