Aide et Action, an international association for development through education, announces the launch of " Education for Women Now "20 million to enable more than 3 million marginalised girls and women to finally have access to quality education - in Africa, Asia and Europe - by 2025.
The upcoming digital launch of the international campaign " Education for Women Now "The event, to be held live on 17 January 2021, marks the first step in a global movement of philanthropists, foundations and corporations to support girls' and women's education around the world.
Co-chaired by Denise Epoté, Director of TV5 Monde Africa and President of the Campaign Committee, and by Aïcha Bah Diallo, former Minister of Education of Guinea and International President of Aide et Action, "Education for Women Now is working to ensure access to quality education for all and to remove barriers related to gender inequality.
With the support of the Campaign Committee made up of leaders, decision-makers and actors of change, enthusiasts and volunteers, Aide et Action hopes to raise 20 million euros in 4 years (by 2025). Thus, 3 million girls and women will be able to benefit from quality education, either at school or in literacy centres.
Projects supported by the campaign "Education For Women Now are implemented by Aide et Action teams in 14 countries in Africa, Asia and Europe. For 40 years, the association has placed girls and women at the heart of its priorities. With "Education For Women Now, Aide et Action wants to reach out to the most vulnerable and marginalised among them and confirms gender equality as a factor of sustainable economic and human development. "Empowering girls and women is a key lever for accelerating sustainable change and education is the best way to transform lives, ensure peace and social and economic stability, especially in marginalised communities.Vanessa Perrette, Aide et Action's International Director of Resource Development, insists.
