A second chance school for out-of-school girls in Burkina Faso

In Burkina Faso, many girls who have dropped out of school or are not in school are forced to do domestic chores or work. Aide et Action, in partnership with the L'Occitane Foundation, offers them, through the SCOLFILLE project, an accelerated upgrading and reintegration into the mainstream education system.

In Burkina Faso, solar lamps to help students learn

International Day of Light: Aide et Action's EECREQ project aims at improving access to quality education in 120 targeted schools in Burkina Faso and Benin. In addition to electrifying schools, solar lamps are distributed to students so that they can do their homework at home after dark. Pupils meet in groups to work, which has an impact on their motivation and solidarity.

Socio-professional training: the key to female empowerment

To enable women to become autonomous and take decisions within their households, Aide et Action promotes their emancipation by offering them technical training and psycho-social support. More than 400 women in Burkina Faso will be trained in this way within the framework of the Forself project, which is now being carried out with the support of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie.

Burkina Faso: Helping vulnerable girls get back to school

In Burkina Faso, socio-cultural barriers hinder girls' access to education. Through the "Scolarisation des Filles" (SCOLFILLE) project, Aide et Action and the L'OCCITANE Foundation are helping 1,872 girls between the ages of 9 and 13 go back to school.
