International Women's Rights Day: innovation and technology for gender equality
The theme of International Women's Rights Day 2023 is "For an inclusive digital world: innovation and technologies for gender equality". This is an opportunity to highlight some of Action Education's projects using digital technology in the field of gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.

Thanks to the micro-project "Femmes et Arbre à Palabres 2.0" led by Action Education, 45 women have benefited from digital training in their mother tongue.
webinar on menstrual hygiene in Benin
Menstruation is still a taboo subject in Beninese schools. Thus, the arrival of the first period for a girl very often leads to a drop in school attendance. Action Education has been fighting for several years for adequate education on menstruation in this West African country. A webinar was organised on Tuesday 22 November on this issue.

In Africa, Aide et Action works alongside political and health authorities
In Africa, all Aide et Action's countries of intervention are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, to varying degrees. In the face of this health crisis, non-state actors have committed themselves alongside political and health authorities. Aide et Action is playing its role by focusing its intervention on three areas: educational continuity, information and awareness raising and prevention materials.
