On 22 June 2023, at the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training (METFP), an agreement was signed between the METFP, represented by the Minister, the Antananarivo Urban Community, represented by the Mayor, and Aide et Action, represented by the Indian Ocean Territory Coordinator.
This agreement stipulates the commitment of the three parties to the success of the Sandratra project. The aim of the Sandratra project is to promote the socio-professional and civic integration of young single mothers who have dropped out of school in Antananarivo's disadvantaged urban neighbourhoods. This tripartite partnership will enable the METFP to implement the general State policy for which it is responsible, namely: to prepare young people and adults, particularly women and people with disabilities, for the trades required by emerging sectors; to offer people outside the school system opportunities to develop vocational training leading to qualifications; to draw up and implement education and training programmes with the active participation of the professional world to meet the needs of local growth sectors.
Thanks to this agreement, the METFP, the CUA and AEA have formed a partnership, in the firm belief that their missions have complementary objectives in terms of training and the socio-professional and civic integration of young single mothers from the capital's vulnerable neighbourhoods.
