Within the framework of a tutored project, three students committed themselves to organise a fundraising event for Aide et Action. To do so, they managed to mobilize the starred chef Sylvain Guillemot. A good amount of money was collected for the occasion and a new public was sensitized to the issues of education.

Marie Lebas, Flavie Gallerand and Roxane Wagemans are all three students in a DUT in Marketing Techniques in Angers. As part of a tutored project, they have committed themselves to organise a fundraising event for Aide et Action. Between November 2020 and March 2021, they will were involved with great seriousness, creativity and enthusiasm in organising an online cooking course led by Michelin-starred chef Sylvain Guillemot.

A project carried out from A to Z by determined students

To carry out their project entitled "Help&Cook", they were supervised by Pierre-Marie Delaroche and Jean-Laurent Savoye, two members of our volunteer team from the Sarthe. But it was they who set up the project from A to Z, from contacting the chef to the visual production, including the management of the fund, the participants and the technical aspect!

The event took place on 6 March, via a Facebook live, where the starred chef Sylvain Guillemot led a cooking class in his restaurant, the Auberge du Pont d'Acigné in Noyal-sur-Vilaine. A starter, a main course and a dessert were proposed. Between each dish, the students spoke about Aide et Action, the importance of access to education for all and their own vision of education. " Our idea with this project was that you can give so that other people have access to education, but that through your donations you also have the opportunity to learn something "Roxane summarised on the day.

450 raised for education

For the occasion, the chef himself shared his point of view: "Education is about transmitting sustainable knowledge to make the individual autonomous, whatever the medium or mode", stressed Sylvain Guillemot. The event was attended by around forty people and raised €450 via a Leetchi fund, but also reached a new generation of people involved in the cause of education, as students and young people took part in the live event.

The students are very proud of this result and the whole Aide et Action team thanks them warmly for their commitment!
