AEA participates in HCL Power of One event
18 December 2017

The HCL Foundation organized ‘Power of One Carnival’ and NGO Partners Meet – South zone in Chennai on December 14th and 15th. The Aide et Action’s Arumbu/Gurukul project teams along with other HCL NGO partners from Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Madurai participated in the event.

The ‘Power of One’ (payroll giving and volunteering) is one of the key flagship projects of HCL which is based on the belief that a contribution as small as one rupee per day can make a huge difference in people’s lives.

On this occasion, Aide et Action put up a stall to educate HCL employees about our community projects and to garner more support in the form of skill-based and technical volunteering.

This was followed by a review of NGO partners by HCL. The purpose of this meeting was done to review work which has been carried since last one year and discuss our partnering experiences, discuss about challenges and issues that foster or hinder our work, explore strengths of the partnerships, identify opportunities for improvement, set expectations and specific steps for implementation in the coming months.
