STRONG DESIRE FOR EDUCATION BRINGS ARADHANA BACK TO SCHOOL!
31 August 2017
Even though Aradhana cleared her 9th standard with good marks, her parents were least enthused to continue her studies. Instead, they discontinued her education and started searching for marriage alliances. But deep down, Aradhana had a strong desire to continue her education. So she confided with the CCLC facilitator at the construction site in Bhopal where she was living with her family.

When the CCLC facilitator ‘didi’ came to her aid and spoke to the family members, they were reluctant to change their decision. However, didi convinced them by sharing how intelligent Aradhana was and if given a chance how she could excel in life. Finally through the efforts of the ‘didi, Aradhana got enrolled in 10th standard.

The CCLC facilitator also observed that Aradhana was good at fine arts. So when a local NGO organized a free summer camp for children in their locality, she recommended Aradhana to enroll in dance and drawing courses. The parents of Aradhana were immensely surprised when they came to know that she has won first prizes in both dance and drawing competitions.

“We were not aware about our child’s potential and talent but because of ‘didi’, we have realized that if my girl gets a proper platform she can prove herself. I will ensure that my girl would study further as per her desire” says Aradhana’s father Munna Lal.
