Volunteers Attend Baking Lessons to Teach Rural Women for Better Livelihoods

International NGO ‘Aide et Action’ (AEA) joint hands with DayDayCook in a baking workshop last Sunday, 17th July 2016 to prepare volunteers for the upcoming Sichuan Charity Experience Trip in early August.


The baking workshop hosted in the DayDayCook Concept Studios in Sheungwan, taught the Hong Kong volunteers skills and knowledge for cookie baking. These Hong Kong volunteers will then join a home-making workshop in Sichuan and to teach the local women on skills to bake cookies. After this experiential session, rural women are expected to gain baking skills and sell baking products in the future for their betterment of their livelihoods.


AEA will host the Sichuan Charity Experience Trip from 1st the 6th August 2016, in which volunteers will visit AEA’s local educational projects, as well as raising funds for the children and women there.

Vietnam – Fighting Human Trafficking Through Education

Like in other border areas in the region, human trafficking is a serious problem in Lao Cai, Vietnam, close to the border with China. Between 2012 and 2017, Lao Cai province alone received 661 returned trafficking victims, 127 of them children (source: Lao Cai Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs).
