Asia Capital Reinsurance (ACR) supported fund for Kids Plan! – Rural ECCE in Guangxi project started from Oct 2011. This September, AEA China and AEA Hong Kong organized the annually volunteer trip to enable our donor comprehends the project and ECCE situation in rural China.

 

The 3-day visit was joyful and fruitful with participation in kindergarten opening ceremony, home visits, children’s group birthday party and parent-kid activities etc. After the short trip, ACR volunteers were impressed by this project, as well as their knowledge of local and ECCE development in rural China was highly strengthened.

 

Likewise, AEAI gained understanding of donors’ demand through interactions base on work together in field. We look forward for longer term cooperation with ACR to devote our effort for ECCE development in rural China.

Vietnam – Fighting Human Trafficking Through Education

Like in other border areas in the region, human trafficking is a serious problem in Lao Cai, Vietnam, close to the border with China. Between 2012 and 2017, Lao Cai province alone received 661 returned trafficking victims, 127 of them children (source: Lao Cai Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs).
