On the 28th of August, the Office of Education of Meanchey district collaborated with Aide et Action and other development partners to conduct a workshop in order to promote the implementation’s efficiency of “Good children, Good students and Good friends” movement.
Presided by Mr. Chamroeun Kouch, president of Meanchey district, this special event attracted around 300 participants including the school principals, the parents’ committee, the local authorities and the representatives of the development partners… In addition, 922 students from 29 primary schools including 12 students from Aide et Action’s project also presented. They were all the student who were rewarded as good children, good students and good friends. They were selected by the student committee, the parent association, the school management committee and the representative of the office of Education…
Many sessions were carried out in this event such as a speech of a chief of Meanchey Office of Education, an impression of a representative of student and a conclusion of the president of the district. Each session was followed by cultural activities performed by students.
“This event is very important as it allows the children to become meaningful and competent human resources to develop our society in the future. I hope this event could take place yearly so that this movement will be much more promoted in my district”, told Mr. Chamroeun. “I agree with the recommendation of Mr. Chamroeun, and Aide et Action is always ready to support this movement as it is a part of the child friendly school development”, added Mr. Prasith CHIN, a representative of Aide et Action.
At the end of this event, the certificates of appreciation were distributed to the development partners, followed by the distribution of the schooling materials for the students. “I am delighted to be rewarded in this movement. I would like to express my gratitude towards my parents, friends, teachers and especially the association who help me to reward this. I will do the best to be selected for the following years”, expressed Kimsreang SOK, a girl of grade 6 from Wat Khnong primary school.
