At the end of this February, Aide et Action, in close collaboration with a partner Sipar, organized a workshop on the community empowerment and leadership in Prey Veng province.

The main objective is to enhance the capacity and capability of the participants to lead their team effectively and manage their project efficiently.

60 participants including the chiefs of commune councils, the chiefs of Center of Education For All (CEFA), the school directors and the chiefs of community preschool committee gathered together to learn, to reflect and to create in common.

To do that, the first two days were focused on the presentation of the concepts and the creation of reflect through the examples with the digital support of the photos and videos. The last day was devoted to the group discussion, to the creation and to appropriation of the concepts mentioned in previous days.

“I am very delighted to participate in this workshop as it allows me to understand better the way to manage effectively the community. While returning, I will share this knowledge with my team so that we are able to manage better the projects in our commune”, told the representative of Takor commune councils.

The results of this workshop were very fruitful as the participants were very active and attentive in this workshop. However, the regular follow up will be conducted to verify if they practice what they have learnt in the workshop. “Thanks to this workshop, our project will be better implemented. I and the project team will carry out the regular follow up in order to improve the problems encountered”, emphasized the project manager.
