Action Education has made access to quality education for all, at all ages and in all parts of the world, the core of its social mission. Nearly 600 employees in 20 countries around the world.

The human values of Action Education

Dignity 

We believe that education contributes to the autonomy and development of individual capacities and enables everyone to live in dignity. We value and respect each person for what they represent.

Inclusion 

For Action Education, equal rights for all human beings are fundamental. By removing barriers to inclusion in education, we help everyone to exercise their rights.

  • Social and cultural diversity: our overall aim is to promote Diversity. Thus, for Action Education, it is essential to ensure a truly international and diverse organisation in terms of social, cultural and professional backgrounds. We ensure that representatives from all our areas of operation around the world, in Africa, South Asia, South East Asia, Europe and Latin America-Caribbean, are represented in all our bodies and participate in the decisions of the organisation.
  • Disability awareness in France, Action Education organised in November 2021 its first DuoDay.  We will thus welcome people with disabilities, in pairs with volunteer professionals. The programme for this day includes discovering the professions, active participation and immersion in companies. This day represents an opportunity to meet people and change the way they look at things and, together, to overcome prejudices.

    Integrity 

    Collective and individual integrity is paramount to us and guides all our decisions, initiatives and actions. In everything we do, we strive to act with honesty, fairness and ethics and to work according to our values.

    Innovation 

    Because Education and Innovation are deeply intertwined, we strive to ensure that our teams benefit from constant and shared learning.

    For example, we organise Innovation Days. These monthly webinars are dedicated to sharing experiences between operational teams, learning from each other and promoting innovation.

    Every first Thursday of the month, colleagues from various countries are invited to present an innovation they have implemented or an idea for an innovation to be developed.

    Training and career path in Action Education

    All our managers are involved in the development and developing the potential of their employees. Everyone has access to training to acquire and develop the skills needed to carry out their professional tasks and the association's missions. 

    In addition to individual training, we offer group training responding to the needs of our different areas of intervention.

    Supporting the development of our teams' skills is one of our priorities. 

    In 2022, the construction of career paths and job bridges will offer our employees more opportunities for internal development and geographical mobility.

    In order to respect the equity of treatment, to enhance the value of skills and to reinforce its attractiveness, Action Education has initiated the harmonisation of the classification of its jobs and of its salary scale, in France and internationally.
