LILO? What is LILO? How does it work?
Lilo is a French 100% solidarity search engine that funds social and environmental projects chosen by Internet users.
A search on the Internet costs around €0.30, which goes into the pocket of the browser used. Lilo's principle is simple: 1 search = 1 drop of water = euros for a (good) cause. It transforms the drops of water into euros and donates them to its partner associations, depending on the choices made by users.
How can you support Action Education through LILO?
1/ Add Lilo to your browser
The first step is to add Lilo to your search engines:
- on a computer: go to Lilo's home page, click on "Choose Lilo as your search engine".
- on mobile: install the smartphone application android, or apple.
Note that you may also need to choose Lilo as your default search engine. See how to do this on Firefox and Chrome.
2/ Do your research, as you do every day
Each time you search with Lilo, you earn a "drop of water" corresponding to the money generated by the display of commercial links. You can then donate these drops of water to the project of your choice. On average, a user generates €30 of advertising revenue per year from his or her online searches, half of which, i.e. €15, can be donated, thanks to Lilo, free of charge to associations chosen by each user.
3/ Donate your "drops of water" to Action Education
To donate your drops of water to Action Education, simply go to our project page. You can then choose to give us a few drops of water, or to automatically give us all the drops of water generated by your searches.
